Breaking Down the Common Map Via Logos & Trademarks
After 2 years of hard work the the folks at City Maps recently launched their website and accompanying Android and iOS apps. For launch they’ve mapped New York, San Francisco and Austin, Texas. The application essentially breaks down the common map into location-based logos. Mouse-over a given logo and users are exposed to various offers/coupons and events.
Being a brand designer the app certainly got my attention but one of the first things I thought was what about the “mom & pop” places that don’t necessarily have a brand? How do they stand out amongst the pack? Time will tell I guess. Either way, genius idea… Take a look here…
