UW Spin-out Cardiac Insight's Heart Monitor and Software featured in Seattle Business Magazine

In 2010, UW cardiologist David Linker founded the start-up Cardiac Insight with CEO Brad Harlow to produce a device, called the Stealth Ambulatory Monitor, which uses an algorithm that quickly and accurately detects an irregular heartbeat. It’s the size of a watchband and weighs a quarter of an ounce. Cardiac Insight is licensing the patent for the monitor from the University of Washington. “We’ve made a monitor for this century,” says Linker.
