This program will allow ELC students to practice directly before the USPTO under supervision of C4C\u2019s Director of Intellectual Property Management (IPM), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pixelube.com\/work\/c4c\/about-c4c\/meet-our-staff\/jkindra\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jesse Kindra<\/a>, who is an attorney with a patent background. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.law.washington.edu\/directory\/profile.aspx?ID=73\">Signe Naeve<\/a>, Associate Director of the UW Law, Technology &#038; Arts Group, will be overseeing the the trademark law pilot program, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.law.washington.edu\/directory\/profile.aspx?ID=517\">Jennifer Fan<\/a>, Managing Director of the UW Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, will be the liaison between C4C and the ELC.<\/p>\n<p>The UW law school is among 11 additional schools selected for the program in July 2012. Students will gain experience drafting and filing either patent applications or trademark applications for clients of the law school clinic. Further, as they are authorized to practice before the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uspto.gov\/\">USPTO<\/a>, they will gain experience answering Office Actions and communicating with either patent examiners or trademark examining attorneys for the applications they have filed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur selection committee chose these eleven schools because of their exemplary intellectual property curricula, their effective outreach to inventor communities, and their comprehensive client services,\u201d said Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uspto.gov\/about\/bios\/kapposbio.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">David J.
