The app provides images, species descriptions, range maps, bloom period, and technical descriptions for more than 870 common wildflowers, shrubs, and vines that occur in Washington and adjacent areas of British Columbia, Idaho, and Oregon.<\/p>\n<p>The Center for Commercialization\u2019s Senior Technology Manager, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pixelube.com\/work\/c4c\/about-c4c\/meet-our-staff\/vcarricaburu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Valerie Carricaburu<\/a>, worked with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burkemuseum.org\/herbarium\/people_giblin\" target=\"_blank\">David Giblin<\/a>, Collections Manager of the UW Herbarium, and High Country Apps to put in place a license agreement to distribute the Herbarium content and images.<\/p>\n<p>Said Carricaburu, &#8220;Working with David, his collaborators and High Country Application has been a pleasure. The team established a very health collaborative relationship that yielded a beautiful product, and I\u2019m confident the app will delight many Washignton nature lovers. I&#8217;m proud to have helped its transfer from University to end users.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now Available for Purchase at Amazon, Apple, and Google App Stores<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Washington Wildflowers app is now available at Amazon, Apple, and Google app stores for $7.99. A free intro version of the app that features 32 Washington wildflowers is also available at these stores.
